At Home in Schützen

The small community of Schützen am Gebirge in the Austrian province of Burgenland is an oasis of zest for life and pleasure. Here in the hills on the edge of Neusiedler See National Park, life moves at a different pace. The air hangs heavy with a very special scent, especially at the height of summer. And standing at the crest of Goldberg you notice that even the light has an unusual quality and colour that you won’t find anywhere else.

This place has somehow been divinely blessed, and that’s why everyone enjoys coming back again and again once they’ve discovered our little paradise. With its gentle landscape and mild climate, it supports a fascinatingly wide variety of vegetation.

In Schützen we harvest the best that nature has to offer. And the fact that our wines are cited in the press year after year as being among the best in Austria shows us that we are on the right track.        

Much of all that is dear to us can also be found in our wines. Like the region in which they’re grown, they combine lightness with energy. And like the people who live here, they are open, accessible and complex at the same time.
